vBuz

Public transport operations platform designed for municipalities, school transport programs and mobility operators.

I am building vBuz as an end-to-end product ecosystem: a multi-tenant backend and operations portal, a passenger experience for digital mobility, and a purpose-built Android app for drivers and onboard monitors. The project turns field operations that are often manual, disconnected and difficult to audit into reliable digital workflows.

What I built

Product capabilities

Digital boarding
Passengers are validated through physical or virtual QR codes and NFC credentials. The driver app returns clear approval or rejection feedback and keeps an auditable local history of boarding attempts.

Offline-first field operations
A route-specific manifest is stored locally before service begins. When connectivity drops, the onboard app validates eligible passengers from that trusted snapshot, persists the audit trail and synchronizes it when the connection returns.

Live trip operations
Drivers select the vehicle, route and schedule to start a trip. During execution, the app captures location in the background, evaluates GPS quality, batches position events and safely retries delivery after network interruptions.

Operational resilience
Trip state, boarding audits, GPS records and finish actions are persisted locally rather than discarded when the device is offline or the process is interrupted. Durable workers resume synchronization without requiring the operator to recreate work.

Multi-tenant public-sector architecture
The platform isolates municipal or operator contexts while keeping a shared product foundation. Tenant-aware authentication, scoped API requests and context recovery prevent cross-boundary data exposure.

Security and trust
Digital QR credentials are signed, mobile sessions are persisted with Android Keystore protection, passenger assets are cached privately, and the system distinguishes online validation from controlled offline fallback.
